While working on the immediate implementation of the WPA3 standard, a potential attack on wireless networks protected by the WPA2/WPA2 standard has been found this week. It allows a third party to recover weak Wi-Fi network passwords protected via WPA-PSK (Pre-Shared Key). Therefore, we invite our customers to strengthen the passwords they use in tasks involving devices that support WPA-PSK. Fortunately, the Enterprise mode is not affected.
We would like to take this opportunity to announce that we are currently working on the future implementation of the WPA3 wireless security standard, unveiled by Wi-Fi Alliance this past June.
