Heat transfer is a crucial part of how any electronic equipment works. When devices are operating, their internal components generate heat, and that heat needs to be dissipated in a controlled way. Doing so ensures safe and reliable operation, helps maintain optimal...
Imber S
Introduction
Imber S is Teldat’s industrial router designed to deliver secure and reliable connectivity for M2M, SCADA and industrial environments. It combines 4G mobile communications with dual SIM, Ethernet and optional Wi-Fi in a compact and rugged form factor that enables 24/7 operation in remote and demanding locations.
It incorporates advanced capabilities to integrate serial and IP devices, along with industrial protocol conversion and multiple corporate VPNs to protect critical infrastructure.
Integration with Cloud Net Manager enables centralized management that streamlines deployments and reduces operational costs.
Competitive Advantages
Adaptable hardware design for unattended installations, with extended temperature range (-40ºC a 75ºC) and electrical/electromagnetic immunity.
The best option for each scenario: DC (9-36 VDC), AC (110-240 VAC using external power adapter included).
Description
Imber S family is designed to provide secure, robust and flexible IP connectivity in industrial and Smart City deployments, enabling the integration of devices, sensors and automation systems in remote locations where space is limted. Its architecture combines mobile, WiโFi and Ethernet communications, ensuring reliable access for OT and IT applications and supporting the modernization and connectivity of distributed infrastructures.
Its ultra compact, industrial and rugged design, with extended temperature operation, ensures continuous 24x7 performance in unattended environments and demanding conditions.
The device incorporates SCADA protocols such as Modbus and IECโ101/104 gateways as well as SerialโIP, allowing direct connection to RTUs, meters, sensors and control devices without additional equipment. This versatility makes it suitable for industrial automation, distributed telemetry, smart lighting or municipal control systems.
In addition, Imber S offers multiple security mechanisms and corporate VPNs (IPSec, OpenVPN, GRE, DMVPN), providing encrypted communications suitable for critical infrastructures. Its remote management capabilities through Cloud Net Manager enable supervision of large device fleets, mass configuration and reduced operational and maintenance workloads, simplifying the entire deployment lifecycle.
Key Features
Imber Smart features 2 Fast Ethernet ports 10/100 BASE-T with RJ45 connectors. One of them is configurable as LAN/WAN interface.
Imber Smart features serial RSโ232 and RSโ485 interfaces with support for SCADA protocols.
Data from the serial port can be transparently encapsulated over IP. The "IEC-101 to IEC-104 gateway" function also allows IEC-101 RTUs to be maintained and central management software to migrate to IEC-104.
Imber Smart housing is designed for optimal heat dissipation, guaranteeing operation between -40ºC and 75ºC with up to 95% humidity. It can be mounted on a DIN rail or wall.
Embedded 2G/3G/4G interface with a dual SIM card tray for automatic backups. Advanced Teldat system for proactive monitoring and automatic recovery from WWAN incidents.
Imber Smart supports 2,4G Wi-Fi band and it can operate in either Access Point mode or Client mode.
It offers advanced encrypted connectivity to ensure the integrity and protection of critical industrial and SCADA infrastructures.
Imber Smart features an input voltage range from 9 to 36 VDC. It also includes by default an external AC/DC 100-240V power adapter.
